Turn right and run down the steps and down the wide hallway. Turn
left, and run down another flight of wide steps until Lara enters a
large hall with balconies. Turn right, run up the steps, and enter
the small tunnel on the south side of the hall.
Turn left and run up the ramp. Turn left once more and run up the
next ramp. Turn left a third time and run up the ramp. Follow the
hallway as it kinks to the left. The hallway will open to a large
alcove off of the main hall at the middle balcony. Step forward and
pick up the Pharos Knot (1).
Reverse roll and run forward, back into the tunnel that Lara emerged
from. Follow the tunnel's kink to the left, and run down the ramp.
Follow the ramps as they spiral down to the right three times until
Lara returns to the floor of the large hall.
Cross the hall and enter the tunnel on the opposite side of the large
hall. Turn right and run up the ramp. Turn right and run up the next
ramp. Turn right once more and continue to the top of the third
ramp.
Lara continues to the top of the ramps and
emerges at a large alcove on the north side of the large hall. A
scroll catches her attention, and she stoops down to pick it up. She
stops and scans about, thinking she heard the sound of a foot fall,
but sees nothing.
Lara picks up the scroll and begins to read, "The tablet was returned
to the sands that spawned it..." In her mind she can her the voice of
Semerkhet, the scroll's author, bellow forth, "...Beneath the citadel
of Saladin in ancient Cairo, foretelling the time in the distant
millennia when the stars of Orion come together. The ceremony is
performed and Seth entombed."
Her mind is snapped back to the present by Von Croy's voice, "Hello,
my dear. Another unannounced visit. I see you have found the scroll we
unearthed. Interesting reading, ja?" Lara looks up to find Von Croy,
with a few days of beard growth, flanked by three of his
assassins.
"Only interesting if you know what it refers to," Lara counters
spitefully.
"Yes, yes," Von Croy dismisses. "Quite correct, my dear. The armor on
its own is no more than a curiosity. But with the amulet and the
ceremonial tablet, it becomes an important historical artifact
predating the Bible by centuries." One of the three assassins waves
his hand at the others to fan out. They cock their Uzis and train
them on Lara.
"There is more at stake here than the sum of the pieces, Von Croy,"
Lara hisses. She prods, "Ever heard of Armageddon? Unpleasant, even
by your standards."
Von Croy isn't impressed and recants the legend, "Rebinding the spirit
of Seth, putting the armor on the statue at midnight at the turn of
the millennium, so on and such like." He waves his hand in dismissal,
"I was never a believer in this magical hocus pocus."
Lara takes a glance to the side. A plan of action forms in her head.
Just as soon as the assassins' fingers begin to tighten on their
triggers, she turns and dives off the balcony. Von Croy is furious
and commands the assassins, "Fools! After her!" As the three
assassins charge down the ramp, Von Croy disappears back behind a
secret panel. (follow

Ready the grenade launcher equipped with regular grenades. When Lara
sees the three assassins (1, 2, 3) emerge
from the mouth of the tunnel, lob grenade into the hallway to
obliterate them all.
