Guardian of Semerkhet
Items: 16
Kills: 6
The main exit to Semerkhet's tomb has been sealed, so you're in search of the back door. Along the way you must face the Guardian of Semerkhet.
Sights to See
Among the various Egyptian gods, Apis, is probably the most well known. Apis takes the form of a bull and is the god of fertility. However in the Ptolemaic period, the Greeks introduced a god named Serapis, which is a synthesis of Osiris and Apis. Serapis is supposedly the god of both the afterlife and fertility. A physician and a helper of the distressed.

What's the purpose of this little lesson in Egyptian mythology? Well, the designers of Semerkhet's tomb intended to make it difficult for grave-robbers to enter his tomb, and they also intended to make it difficult for grave-robbers to make off with any treasure or information.

You'll encounter a few traps, but they shouldn't present a seasoned explorer such as yourself much of a problem. However, that's where Serapis comes in. Serapis certainly won't be taking on the role of physician, but you may find Serapis to be some help to you when you're distressed and trying to avoid the afterlife.
Local Fauna
The only critters that inhabit the chambers this deep within the tomb are bats. There is also the little matter of the Guardian that you've heard so much about.
Souvenirs
You need to retrieve two items. A Golden Vraeus and the Guardian Key. Obtaining the first will allow you access to the second.
Hidden Treasures
There are three secrets to be found. All three are readily visible. The first is easy to spot and easy to obtain if the Guardian isn't chasing you around. The second will require the assistance of a torch but will be tricky to get with bats and the Guardian chasing you around. You may acidentally find the last on your way to the exit of the tomb.
Hazards
Early on, it may seem that this level will be all about bladed traps, but don't be fooled. The greatest and most obvious hazard in this level will be the Guardian. Hope you brought your running shoes.
