Baby Girls
It's been nearly two years since any news has been posted here. This is way past due, but I think the reason for the news outage will become clear momentarily. Since our last update Brian and his wife had their second baby, a girl, Janine. Additionally, my wife and I had our first baby, also a girl, we named Isabel. Needless to say, I've been busy with |
work, additional responsibilities
at my church, and taking care of our daughter. Because my wife also
works, and we split the child care, there is little time for Tomb
Raider, replying to emails, or much of anything
else. On The Horizon The release of the next Tomb Raider installment is slated for sometime this summer, and there is a sequel to the Tomb Raider movie as well. |
I'm getting Emails asking whether I will be writing a guide for the next game. I regret to inform you that,In all likelihood, I will not. There's no PC upgrade in sight for me. If Angel of Darkness plays on my 650MHz P3 laptop, then I might check it out, but I just haven't the time to commit to another guide. Brian and I will discuss future plans, so stay tuned. We'll try to come up with something. In the meanwihle he may start posting news here from time to time so things are not so barren around here.(Old articles...)

Fin
Greetings guide readers! There hasn't been any news about our guide for some time now. I've been quite busy at work to get ready for my vacation. In fact I'm presently typing up this little update on one leg of my vacation here in Hershey, PA. In case you haven't noticed, the first draft of our guide for Tomb Raider: Chronicles is finally done. Corrections from Don, Brian and Bruce continue to trickle |
in, and I plan on working on graphics for the most recent
couple of guides, but the guides are ready for public
consumption. Movie Reviews I managed to catch the long-awaited Tomb Raider Movie in the movie theaters a month or so ago, and I had a few thoughts on the movie that I felt the need to share. It's been a couple of years since I had something to rant about, |
so I've added my review of the Tomb Raider movie to my Letters and Editorials page. If you haven't seen the movie and are worried about spoilers, then I recommend you don't read it, otherwise, give it a read and let me know what you think.(Old articles...)

Long Overdue
I apologize for skipping a month in providing some news of what's happening here at the guide. If you haven't noticed, I've managed to post the first three areas of our guide for Tomb Raider: Chronicles. Work on the guide goes on, with all four of the editors on staff (Ivans, Brian, Bruce for PC, Don for PSX) pouring over the walkthroughs to make sure they are the most accurate on the web. |
Misinformed
Contrary to what many other walkthroughs have published, the "young Lara levels" don't occur on the "Black Isle", which is in Scotland, but rather, in Ireland. We found no official references to the "Black Isle". Rich Morton was kind enough to confirm this information. He also provided us a few additional details, such as the name of Winston's birth place (Connussie) and the good Father's full (Bram Patrick Dunstan). |
Dr. Lara?
I recently found a weekly TV show on the ABC network called, "Gideon's Crossing". Some may recognize the actress playing Dr. Ollie Klein as none other than Rhona Mitra, former Lara model. Dr Klein's long dark hair is often pulled into a pony- tail with a few strands dangling across her face. Strangely familiar. This is neither news nor related to this web site, but for lack of actual news I thought it would do.(Old articles...) |

Latest Guide
I'm here to announce the groundbreaking of our latest guide. I've got my copy of Tomb Raider: Chronicles, and managed to shoe-horn it into my poor 233MHz Pentium I MMX. I've read that there are a few bugs that hinder the owners of under- powered graphics cards or processors on a.g.t I'm hoping that my SLI Voodoo II cards will manage to squeeze me past these bugs, but given that 3Dfx has |
closed their doors and Creative Labs has long since stopped updating
their drivers for their 3D Blaster Voodoo 2, if I hit a point that I
can't get past, it may spell doom for me. The bad news aside, I've transcribed the first couple of FMV's and I've typed up the guide, hints, and walkthrough for the first level. Once again, our Executive Editor, Brian, has provided us with a walkthrough for the training level. I know it isn't much it, but it should give you a sample of what's to |
come. However, I'll be quite busy for the next couple of weeks, so I won'tbe able to make any more updates until mid-February. Check back in late February for my next update. Until then, we appreciate your continued patronage.(Old articles...)
