Temple of Puna |
Items: 13 |

| The Temple of Puna is a very short level full of traps. Use these hints to get yourself them. | |||
Rollerblades
|
After dealing with a few natives and making your way up the steps, you will find yourself above a room full of rolling blades. To cross the room you have to push the four buttons on the two opposite walls to open the gate on the far side of the room. The only trick to this room is knowing that the only safe places to stand are in the corners, but you can't simply stand in a corner to be safe, you have to be standing squarely facing into the corner or with your back squarely against into the corner such that you're standing at a forty five degree angle from the walls. You simply have to get to a corner, wait for an opportunity then rush out, press a button and then run back to the safety of a corner. You need to take a running jump between two rolling blades in order get to the other side of the room.
The Sky is Falling
|
In the next trap, a spiked ceiling will grind down on top of you. And you have to pull three levers on three walls to open the exit gate. Although it may be possible to pull all three before the ceiling impales you, there is an easier way. It has to do with blocking the ceiling from moving all the way to the bottom of the room.
Indy's Got Nothing on Lara
|
What happens next should be fairly obvious. Enter the wide hallway and pull the lever to open the exit gate. The moment you start running, the enormous boulder starts rolling. To make matters worse, there's a second gigantic boulder waiting for you in the next hallway. Avoiding the boulders is simple with Lara's new abilities, but just so you know where you're going, the boulder in the next hall is coming from the left. Can you say, "Exit stage right?"
Shocking Endings
|
After dealing with a few more tribesmen, it's time to meet the head honcho. Slide down the ramp and you'll end up on a platform that's supported at the four sides. If you fall off the platform, then it's a long slide into oblivion for you. Step up to the artifact, and Puna will turn around to greet you. He's one bad dude. If his blue lightning bolts hit you, then you're dead. That's it. So to avoid getting hit by his blue lightning bolt, keep moving at all times. Every so often he fires a green lightning bolt at one of the sides of the room. That will cause a reptile mutant to appear where the bolt strikes. Depending on what kind of challenge you're looking for, you can try to use powerful weapons and take Puna out quickly, or try to see how many reptile mutants you can take out before killing Puna.
