| Ah, this Reunion will not be a sweet one. Here are a few tips to help get out of this in one piece. | |||
Night of the Living Dead
|
As soon as you arrive, you will be in for some action. After a jump out of the way, you'll be ready to explore. You can check out all the passages that lead off of this central chamber, but progress can only be made if you head up passage that leads to a stairway that leads up to a pit with lots of corpses floating above it. | ||
To See or Not to See
|
Wondering how to get across this pit? Well, you've already encountered some translucent ledges, right? We'll the ledges above the pit are the same, except just a little harder to see. Lighting a flare will help. | ||
Under Siege
|
If this is truly a reunion for you, then you should know what's coming next. It's time to climb while evade Sophia's blasts. The following couple of hints are basically just tips as to where it's safe to duck for cover from Sophia. | ||
Up Close and Personal
|
A couple of standing jumps will take you to the ledge that's right in front of Sophia. Run around and find the vent with the corpse floating above it. This will be the first place you can duck for cover. If Lara want's that large Medi Pack on the ledge below Sophia, you'll have to get up close and personal. Use the spot behind the vent for cover on your way back. | ||
Duck and Cover
|
Just around the corner from the vent is a structure. You can stand with the structure between you and Sophia for cover. When the timing is right, hop onto the low ledge beside the structure, climb up to the ledge above the structure. | ||
Foxholes
|
On the level above, you can stand around safely in the chamber near Sophia or the pit with the pool on the opposite side of the room. Just watch out because there are corpses guarding both places. From the pit with the pool, you can make little forays out to set off the boulder, to grab the Medi Pack, or to throw the lever. | ||
Chamber of Horrors
|
Okay, the lever opens two doors to a chamber with four corpses. From here, a quick climb takes you to the uppermost level. Of course there's a lever you'll need throw to open the trapdoor to the top of the ladder, but it's nearby. | ||
Final Showdown
|
Sophia apparently can only be killed when she's standing on the ledge with the Hand of Rathmore. You can convince her to climb up there by climbing onto the ledge on your side of the pit of green goo. You don't have to climb up to the same level as Sophia, as she generally attempts to stay one level above you. Sophia can only be injured when she is standing on the ledge with the artifact and only while she is recharging. Any weapon will do, but a single rocket is sufficient. | ||
Wrap-Up
|
After taking out Sophia, you need to cross over, grab the artifact, and enter the door that opens when you pick up the artifact. Make your way out to the beach and head for the hot-air balloon and you're done. | ||
