Old Mill
Items: 11
Kills: 0
Lara and Father Patrick step out of a tunnel and out onto a hillside. It is still raining out here. Father Patrick immediately begins to give Lara instructions, "Right, young lady, I'm going to have a quick look around now for a safe place to put you. Now you stay put, or you'll be banging into something that'll make your hair turn white. And we wouldn't be wanting that now, would we?"

Lara remembers the book she picked up, "Father, I found a book in the labyrinth."

Father Patrick is flabbergasted, "You've been sight-seeing in there as well? Good Lord almighty, girl! I'll be needin' to chain ya to something."

Lara tries to give the book to Father Patrick. "It has protective symbols," she points out. "Maybe you can use them."

"Bless you for the thought, but I've enough protection from Him above," Father Patrick refuses graciously. Father Patrick points to the book, "And for that diagram to be any good you'd have to draw it out and be sittin' in the middle of it." An owl hoots in the distance, and Father Patrick continues, "And you know something, I've left all me coloring pens at home tonight. Now, you'll be doing me a big favor if you were to stay put before you bang into something bigger than you. "

Lara nods enthusiastically in agreement, "Stay put. Right!" However, as much as she would like to obey, it's just not in her nature not to explore.

Run forward down the path past the dark dirt patch. A demon horseman appears on the hillside ahead. It rides down toward Lara with his sword drawn. Lara recognizes that she's out gunned, so she beats a hasty retreat back down the path. As the horseman rides past he takes a swing at Lara. She ducks down and avoids the horseman's swing, but stumbles forward and flops face down on the path.

The horseman dismounts the dark steed and steps toward Lara. It grabs her by the neck and lifts her up by her neck. Lara struggles, but the horseman is holding her so high that her toes are a foot or more off the ground. The horseman sizes Lara up and decides that she's not a threat, so he tosses her back toward the opening to the labyrinth. He mounts his steed and rides away.

Lara clearly can't proceed forward down this path, so step forward and turn left at the tunnel1. Enter the tunnel and follow it as it winds to the left and then back to the right. Soon Lara will come to a pit. Turn left and step forward to drop into the pit.

Run forward to the other end of the pit and pull up out of the pit. Run forward and Lara will reach an intersecting tunnel. Run forward and turn left. Follow the tunnel, as it turns to the right and heads downward.

When Lara reaches the next intersecting tunnel, a colony of bats will appear. Run around until the bats disperse, and return to this intersection. Turn right and run forward to the end of the tunnel to pick up a small Medi Pack (1).

The tunnel ahead is caved in, so reverse roll, run forward and turn left. Turn left when Lara reaches the intersecting tunnel and run back up the tunnel, following it until as it bends to the left.

Run forward down this tunnel, past the intersecting tunnel and up the tunnel until Lara emerges on a grassy ledge. Step forward and Lara will spot two imps on the ledge below. She will also see a wooden torch on a ledge above and to her right.

As soon as the two imps (1, 2) spot Lara they will start throwing rocks at her. Take a couple of hops backwards back into the tunnel2. Quickly line Lara up with the rope dangling over the pit. Take a running jump and grab onto the rope.
Wooden Torch
Rotate Lara clockwise around the rope, slide down to the bottom of the rope and allow her to wrap her legs around the rope. Aim Lara toward the ledge with the torch and swing forward. Allow Lara to wrap her legs around the rope and swing forward once more. Leap off the rope to reach the ledge. Grab the wooden torch (2) and turn right. Quickly step forward to slide down to the ledge below, turn left and reenter the tunnel to avoid the rock-throwing imps.

Run forward to the end of this tunnel and turn right. Run down the tunnel and turn left when Lara reaches the intersecting tunnel. Follow the tunnel, which will turn to the right and head downward. There is a lit torch mounted at the end of the tunnel. Have Lara light the wooden torch on the lit torch mounted on the wall.

Reverse roll, run forward, and turn left. Turn right when Lara reaches the intersecting tunnel and follow the tunnel back to the left. Run forward to the mouth of the tunnel ahead.

Quickly turn left, run to the end of this ledge and turn right. Toss the flaming torch at the two imps and make sure it lands on the ledge where they are running around. The torch will panic the two imps and they will stop throwing stones.

Now turn right and walk back toward the mouth of the tunnel. Turn left and aim Lara at the rope3. Take a standing jump and grab onto the rope. Have Lara slide down to the bottom of the rope and rotate her counter-clockwise until she is facing the ledge in front of an iron fence.

Allow Lara to wrap her legs around the rope and swing forward. Wait until Lara wraps her legs around the rope again and swing forward once more. When Lara reaches the apex of her swing and is closest to the ledge, leap off the rope to land on the ledge in front of the fence.
Crowbar
Run to the iron fence and pull off the dark bar, which Lara can use as a crowbar (3). Turn left and walk forward to the end of this ledge. Turn left and drop down to the ledge below.

Run forward and turn left when Lara returns to the mouth of the tunnel and aim Lara for the rope once again4. Take a standing jump and grab onto the rope. Have Lara slide to the bottom of the rope and rotate her counter-clockwise until she is facing the left end of a crevice that runs above the ledge with the two imps. Aim for the small crawlspace that is below and to the right of the ledge in front of the iron fence.

Wait for Lara to wrap her legs around the rope and swing forward. Wait until Lara wraps her legs around the rope again and swing forward once more. When Lara reaches the apex of her swing and is closest to the crawlspace, leap off the rope and grab onto the bottom edge of the crevice.

Pull up into the crevice and crawl forward into the crawlspace until Lara reaches an opening that leads down. Turn Lara around and have her lower herself into the chamber below.
Chalk
Reverse roll, run forward and pick up a large Medi Pack (4). Step forward and use the crowbar to pry the rock off the large boulder that blocks the tunnel ahead. Lara will pry a piece of chalk (5) off the large boulder.

Reverse roll, and walk forward. Pull back up into the crawlspace. Crawl forward until Lara reaches the end of the crawlspace and is in the crevice. Turn around and have Lara lower herself out of the crawlspace but do not release from the crawlspace.

Shimmy to the right until Lara can pull up into a wider part of the crevice. Turn right and crawl forward in the crevice. Follow the crevice as it turns to the right, and continue crawling until Lara reaches the end of the crevice.

Turn around and have Lara lower herself out of the crevice. Allow Lara to safety drop down to the grassy ledge below. Lara will take a little damage when she hits the ground.

Run forward and follow the tunnel as it bends to the right. Pick up the large Medi Pack (6) hidden in the tunnel and continue forward. Follow the tunnel as it turns to the right.

When Lara emerges from the tunnel, turn left when she is past the first rock column. Run forward into the alcove until Lara is as high up on the grassy ledge as she can run. Turn left, jump up and grab the bottom edge of the sloping upper face of the rock column.

Shimmy to the left until Lara is all the way at the left edge of the rock column. Pull up and immediately backflip off the ledge and Lara will land on the sloping upper rock face of a higher ledge facing the first ledge. Immediately leap off this second rock column and grab onto the upper edge of the rock column facing the second rock column.

Pull up and Lara will slide forward down the front face of this rock column. Leap off of the sloping upper face of this third rock column. Lara will land on a sloping upper rock face of a fourth rock column. Leap off of this fourth rock column and grab onto the bottom of the crevice that faces the fourth rock column.

Pull up into the crawlspace and crawl forward. Crawl forward and follow the crawlspace to the left. When the crevice becomes too small to continue, turn right and have Lara lower herself out of the crawlspace.

Release and drop to the ledge with the two imps. Turn left and walk forward to the far end of this ledge.
SECRET #1
Crouch down and crawl into a crawlspace. Follow the crawlspace as it bends to the left. Crawl forward and pick up a gold rose (7), which is SECRET #1. Turn around and follow the crawlspace back to the right. Turn left when Lara emerges from the crawlspace and return to the area below the ledge. Crawl forward until Lara can stand and turn around.
Position Lara at the corner of four the blocks where there is no grass. If Lara can look at the upper ledge, then sidestep right until she is unable to look around. Angle Lara toward the upper ledge, then take a running jump and grab the upper ledge. Pull up and turn left. Take a running jump to the upper ledge and turn left. Run forward and turn right when Lara reaches the mouth of the tunnel. Reenter the tunnel and turn left when Lara reaches the intersecting tunnel.

Drop into the pit and run forward. Climb out of the other side of the pit and turn right. Follow the tunnel as it winds left and then back to the right. Lara will emerge on the path where she started.

Turn left and walk forward toward the dark patch of dirt. Use the chalk to sketch a symbol from the bestiary. Lara drops to her knees and begins to draw a protective symbol. The demon horseman reemerges at the top of the hill ahead. Lara hurries and completes the symbol.

The horseman charges at Lara but the protective symbol stops him cold. The steed however is allowed to pass through the symbol, so as a result the demon horseman is knocked off of the dark steed.

The symbol however doesn't prevent the demon horseman from taking a swing at Lara with his sword. He raises his sword with both hands, but just before he deals Lara a deathblow, Father Patrick appears from the tunnel, grabbing Lara, and pulling her out of reach of the demon horseman's swing.

Lara quickly scampers away, as the horseman grabs Father Patrick by the neck. The horseman lifts Father Patrick up by the neck and hits him in the side of the head with the hilt of his sword. The dark steed returns and the horseman heaves Father Patrick onto the steed.

Lara turns and watches helplessly as the horseman mounts the steed and rides away.

If Lara returns to the opening to the labyrinth, a colony of bats will appear. Instead proceed forward into the tunnel ahead and drop into the sloping tunnel. Lara will land on a slope and slide down into the lower tunnel.

Follow the tunnel forward and to the left. When Lara steps out of the tunnel, the demon horseman will burst through the doors of a barn ahead. Father Patrick is still folded over the back of the horse. The horseman dismounts and pulls up Father Patrick's head by his hair.

The horseman raises his sword to Father Patrick's neck and begins to rant, "Who is this that stands before me? The first to visit me in my prison seven hundred years past."

"Seven hundred years?" Father Patrick asks in surprise. "All alone in a barn? Huh, those winter nights must have just flown by."

"Silence, ignorant heretic, or I behead you!" The horseman replies angrily. He reaches up and heaves Father Patrick down off the horse. Father Patrick slams down onto the ground in a heap at the horseman's feet.

Father Patrick lets out a sincere "Oof!" when he hits the ground.

"Leave him be!" Lara threatens the horseman.

The horseman chuckles at Lara's empty threat and comments, "For the child has spirit, but what is that? When this island is littered with the bones of holy men. My gift to them for their spirit in obstructing me from claiming my rightful inheritance." A crash of thunder sounds in the distance.

"And this inheritance, I would wonder, would be some way to explain why your walking and breathing when you should be gone long past," Father Patrick inquires.

"The inheritance is the gift of eternal life," the horseman replies. "Contained within an ancient scroll. Concealed by the Dollard Abbot and his cohorts. The scroll, which draws forth pale demon blood through my veins. I am no longer man. I am one for the earth and one for above the gaping abyss of Hades."

"So why stay on the island?" Father Patrick asks. "Came for a holiday and fell in love with the scenery?"

"Hold your yapping tongue for want I clip it!" The horseman answers angrily, and kicks Father Patrick. "Boils and plagues plaster over this island and its treacherous inhabitants! For it was they, and their ox little abbot, who plotted to incarcerate me in this dungeon hall for an eternity. I, Vladimir Kaleta, who worshipped in the first Kremlin, who butchered the Swede and the Lefsky on the banks of the River Neva. Incarcerated within this prison of flowing water!"

"Running water... You're trapped here by running water!" Lara exclaims with excitement, now being armed with useful information.

"Demons cannot cross running water," Father Patrick confirms aloud.

"Indeed. The abbot's final trick before I was transformed." The horseman turns to Lara, "And you shall find a way to shore up this stream or your holy man shall be opened up and gutted like live fruk." He heaves Father Patrick back onto the steed, mounts it, and rides back into the barn. The barn doors slam shut behind the horseman after he passes."

Turn left and run forward, through the shallow puddle, to the closed barn door. Turn right and run forward to the small mill and follow the path as it winds to the left and back to the right.

Run forward and drop down to the ledge in front of the fast moving stream. Take a standing jump over the fast stream and run forward into the tunnel. Follow the tunnel as it winds to the right, back to the left, and up a clearing with a windmill.
SECRET #2
Turn left and run forward to the rock formation. Turn right when Lara comes to the mouth of a tunnel. Run forward to the edge of the water and turn left. Run forward to find a crawlspace.

Crouch down and crawl into the crawlspace. When Lara crawls into the crawlspace, flames will ignite in the tunnel ahead. Stand up and grab the large Medi Pack (8). Turn left, run through the flames, which will ignite Lara, grab the gold rose (9), which is SECRET #2. Use a Medi Pack to keep Lara alive while she is on fire if it is necessary. Immediately turn left, run forward and drop into the pool to extinguish Lara.

Swim forward and surface. Turn right and pull out of the water. Turn left and drop into the pool ahead. Swim across the pool and surface. Pull out of the water. Run forward and turn left.
Run forward toward the windmill and take standing jump over the slope into the pool surrounding the windmill. Swim down and to the left. Follow the wall of the pond and dive down. Turn left and swim forward to find a sea hag swimming (3) around.

If Lara swims forward, the sea hag will emerge, and grab her by the ankle. Lara will struggle and smack the hag on across the head. The hag punches Lara in the gut to retaliate, but Lara kicks the hag in the midriff and the hag will release Lara and so she can try again.

Surface for air and swim back around to the left side of the windmill. Dive back down to make another attempt to snitch a little of the old hag's treasure. Lara will have to repeat this process until she successfully grabs a bit of the treasure.
Silver Coin
Wait until the hag swims into a tunnel to the right. Quickly swim forward and grab the Silver coin (10). Quickly turn left and swim upward into the tunnel ahead5. The current will sweep Lara up through the tunnel to the upper part of the pond. The old hag will be quite upset now and hot on Lara's tail.

Turn right and swim forward toward the front of the windmill where there is a cage dangling in the water from a winch above. Surface for air as necessary. Dive down toward the cage at the bottom of the pool and use the silver coin.

Lara will pull open the door of the cage and toss the silver coin inside. She quickly swims away to hide. The hag cautiously swims forward to investigate, and then enters the cage to retrieve her treasure. Lara suddenly appears and slams the cage door shut.

A couple of imps will crank the handles and winch up the cage with the hag inside. The swing the cage over to the dock at the front of the windmill and then swarm in on the hag.

Surface for air and then dive back down toward the hag's lair. Turn right and swim into the tunnel that Lara watched the hag swim into earlier. Rotate Lara upward and swim up the water-filled shaft until Lara can surface.

Turn Lara around and pull out of the water into the mill. Run forward. Lara will automatically take the turn to the left, and continue until Lara reaches the edge of a pool within the mill. Turn left and follow the wooden ramp upward and around to the right until she reaches an upper platform. Step around the wheel and turn right.

Pull the wheel at least four times to open a timed door on the other side of the mill and take a hop back. Angle Lara to the left, run forward and take a running jump off the platform and grab the pole. Don't waste a lot of time spinning around the pole, but rather immediately release from the pole to land on the opposite ledge.

Quickly reverse roll, angle Lara to the left and take a running jump to the ledge that leads to the mill's gears. Turn left, run forward to the door and crawl through.

A colony of bats will appear, but don't run around. Turn left, walk forward and jump up to grab the ledge above. Pull up to the ledge above and turn around. Take a standing jump and grab onto the lever mounted high up on the wall ahead.

Allow Lara's weight to throw the lever. The lever opens an underwater door that allows Lara to exit the windmill. It also changes the currents in the streams outside.

Reverse roll, and run forward to slide down a ramp. Turn left, run forward and drop into the water. Swim forward to the underwater opening and turn right. Follow the underwater tunnel as it turns to the left and back to the right. Swim forward until Lara is back out to the pond outside the mill.

Surface for air if necessary, and turn right. Swim forward until Lara is at the front of the old mill. Swim forward into the hole in the wall of the pond that faces the old mill.

Surface as soon as Lara is past the ridge at back of the pond. Turn right and pull out of the water. Turn left and reenter the stone tunnel. Follow the tunnel as it winds to the right and back to the left until Lara reemerges at the edge of a stream.

Take a jump over the stream and run forward. Run forward and vault up onto the path ahead. Follow the path forward and then angle Lara to the left. And run forward until Lara is in front of the barn.

Run past the barn until Lara reaches the far side of this clearing. Turn right and locate a reddish stream that flows along the side of the barn. This stream was flowing too quickly to enter before Lara pulled the lever in the mill.

Run forward and drop into the water. Wade forward until the water is too deep to continue wading.
SECRET #3
Swim forward to the end of the stream where it dives underneath a ledge. Rotate Lara to the right and follow the underwater tunnel as it heads downward.

Turn left when Lara reaches an adjacent underwater tunnel. Swim forward into this tunnel and follow it as it turns to the left. Surface in the small airspace and pull up onto a ledge.

Step forward and pick up a gold rose (11), which is SECRET #3. Reverse roll and drop back into the water. Follow the underwater tunnel, which will turn to the right, and meets an intersecting tunnel.

When Lara emerges in the intersecting tunnel, turn right and follow the underwater tunnel back to the end and turn left and surface.
Turn and locate the alcove near this end of the reddish stream. Pull out of the water and step forward. Grab the bottom edge of the crawlspace above and have Lara pull herself up into the crawlspace.

Crawl forward until Lara reaches the end of the crawlspace and turn right. Back Lara over the edge of the crawlspace and have her lower herself into the tunnel below.

Reverse roll and run forward. Lara will reach another crawlspace. Crouch down and crawl forward. Follow the crawlspace as it turns to the left and continue crawling until Lara emerges in a small alcove.

Turn right and grab the ledge above. Pull up onto the ledge. Take a hairpin turn to the left and walk forward to the edge of the ledge. Take a running jump to the granite ledge ahead.

Turn right and aim for the small flat ledge on the roof of the barn, then take a running jump to it. Aim Lara for the flat part of the barn roof right above the barn doors. Take a standing jump to that part of the roof.

Angle Lara back to the left and walk forward to the end of this flat part of the barn roof. Aim Lara at another small flat ledge and take another running jump to reach that ledge.

Angle Lara to the right and aim Lara at the nearest corner of the flat part of the roof of the small mill adjacent to the barn. Take a running jump to the roof of small mill6.

Turn right to face away from the opening and crouch down. Have Lara lower herself into the opening to drop into the small mill. Reverse roll, run forward and turn right.

Run forward and use the wooden wheel. Doing so will stop the water wheel, which in turn stops the flowing water that surrounds the barn. As Lara makes her way out of the small mill, the horseman bursts out through the barn doors. It raises both its arms triumphantly and lets out a satisfied roar.

The horseman dismounts and begins to talk to Father Patrick, "Your child has done her job well, and I taste freedom for the first time in an eon. You will now fear me? For you have served your purpose well holy man, and for this should I exercise mercy as a god might?" The horseman pulls Father Patrick off the horse and holds him up by the scruff of his neck.

Father Patrick answers cheerfully, "Now that'd be nice, but I'm not holdin' me breath." Father Patrick gives the demon horseman a pat on the shoulder.

The horseman is not amused, "Yes, I shall spare, and secure for you a fate worse than death! For when you pass beyond this world, Heaven shall no longer welcome you, for you have released a demon." He is practically dripping with glee.

Father Patrick replies confidently, "My faith will protect me from feckless lesser demons as yourself."

Father Patrick's trivialization of the horseman infuriates the horseman. The horseman head-butts Father Patrick and then flings him against the open barn door.

Lara arrives just in time to witness the horseman abusing Father Patrick, "Father!"

The horseman turns his attention to Lara, "Ah! The child. I shall snuff out her life as a candle." Demon begins to step toward Lara.

Father Patrick is still a little stunned from having been hit on the head and flung into the door reaches out toward Lara and tells her, "The book from the library..."

The horseman continues to step toward Lara, but now she is backing away as demon approaches.

Father Patrick gives Lara more detailed instructions, "The names... Read out the names."

Lara produces the book from her backpack, flips it around so that it is right side up, and opens it to a list of names. She begins to read the names aloud in order, "Askeroth. Aqueil. Arrancula. Belial. Bucom. Boliath." The demon horseman continues to approach and Lara is panicked. She calls out to Father Patrick, "Help me!" She gasps as the horseman is practically on top of her.

"Keep reading, girl, you're almost there" Father Patrick encourages.

Lara obeys, "Camos." She grows impatient and starts skipping down the list of names, "Masteflou." The horseman raises his sword to take a swing at Lara, when Father Patrick suddenly lunges at the horseman from behind. Father Patrick grabs the horseman around the shoulders, but the horseman breaks free of the Father's hold and flings him aside.

The horseman is now right in front of Lara. It raises its sword to take a deep stroke down at Lara, but she calls out one more name from the bestiary, "Verdilet."

Suddenly the horseman is frozen in place and unable to move. He cries out in confusion, "How is this? I move to strike and yet cannot!"

Father Patrick walks over to Lara and dusts himself off, "You've done well, girl, and before you ask, I'll tell ya. The book you've got, I myself was looking fer it, but as I couldn't find it, assumed you had it, and lucky ya did!"

"But how?" Lara asks puzzled.

Father Patrick continues to explain, "If you name a demon, you have power over it, and you named him! It's your shout, Lara."

The horseman is furious and curses her, "For this you shall burn for eternity! I shall drown you in a mire of your own entrails before I squeeze!"

"Be quiet," Lara commands the demon, and indeed, he becomes silent.

"Whatcha reckon we get out of this God-forsaken place and go and get a nice cup of tea with Winston?" Father Patrick asks Lara. "Almost forgot, would you be wantin' to wave goodbye to our little friend?" He chuckles.

Lara turns her head and issues another command to the demon, "Back to where you belong!" Lara looks around but the demon is gone. Father Patrick puts his arm around Lara and turn and leave.

Dawn approaches and the chartered boat has returned for Father Patrick. Father Patrick and Lara stand at the bow of the boat as it ferries them back to the mainland. Father Patrick still has his arm around a shaken Lara. He tells her, "And you'll have learned a few valuable lesions from that, I be thinkin'."

"You'd be thinking right, Father," Lara agrees.

Back in the study at the Croft manor, a much older Father Patrick Dunstan completes his story, "Her curiosity was eventually her failing."

Jean-Yves interrupts to put a different spin on Father Dunstan's statement, "The path she chose was the path she loved, and for this we should celebrate, not grieve." Meanwhile, in a distant desert in Egypt. Werner Von Croy is still searching for Lara. In the hazy dusty desert sun, he lifts his head. His face is furrowed with worry. In the shadow of the Great Pyramids, Von Croy turns and heads toward a group of Egyptian workers that he has hired to help him find Lara. Jean-Yves speaks the emotions that he assumes Von Croy is currently feeling, "Although I fear for Von Croy. Pursuing his inner demons. Driven half to madness in his quest for her final resting place. He will not find peace in himself until this is complete."

Lightning strikes and thunder claps back in stormy Surrey, England. The three men have arisen from the study and are walking down a hallway. The electricity has been restored to the manor.

They stop a mirror mounted on the wall of the hallway, and Jean-Yves exclaims, "Ah! The infamous trophy room, and you will be doing the acrobatics to enter, Winston? Yes?"

Winston reaches up and takes hold of a light fixture mounted beside the mirror. He explains, "Miss Croft did enjoy her little games." Winston turns the fixture counter-clockwise and the wall with the mirror slides back and swings away. The three men enter the tunnel. The darkness of the tunnel leading to the trophy room is lit by a candelabra wielded by Jean-Yves. Winston continues, "And here it is, gentlemen. The artifact which lead to the animosity between Miss Croft and Von Croy. Ending ultimately in this terrible business."

Winston walks up to a case covered by a satin spread. He pulls the covering aside to reveal a strange round artifact floating in the middle of a glass case. The artifact consists of two concentric hemispheric shells, which rotate around a smaller central glowing sphere. The artifact hums with energy. The three men stand around the case and peer at the artifact.

As they peer at the artifact the glowing shape brings to mind another story. The story of how Lara Croft managed to reclaim this artifact after she lost it in Cambodia.

An African-American man wearing a communication's headset is seated at a complicated console inside an unmarked van parked in front of an industrial building. A 3D vector rendering of the Iris spins on the display in front of him. He speaks into a microphone, "Okay Miss Croft, I'm presuming, by the lack of communication that you're at Industries' building, right? Containing our little prize? The Iris?"

"Affirmative," Lara confirms.

"Right! Now this is what you're good at, yeah? Time to switch roofs."

"Switch roofs?" Lara asks. "Easy to say from the ground floor. Wouldn't you agree?" Lara is on top of the building that the van is parked in front of. She's dress in an all black cat burglars' suit. She too is wearing a communications headset, along with a set of special glasses. She's holding onto the bar of a hang-glider and perched on the edge of the roof of the building.

"C'mon now! Stiff upper lip. Top pole, and all that. Time to get hip with Zip."

Lara looks down at the Timex TMX watch she is carrying to see that the current time is 10:09 pm. "Gone," Lara comments. She pushes off from the roof of the building and floats across to the roof of the facing building. Just as she manages to get her toes onto the building, a stiff wind blows the hang-glider back. Lara quickly slips forward to avoid being blow off the building. She falls, and causes her headset to send a loud squeal of feedback to the man in the van.

"Yow! Jimi Hendrix is back! Lara? You there, Lara? Croft? Are you getting' this?" The man calls out, trying to determine if Lara is all right.

Lara shakes off the little fall, and gets to her feet. "Bly me," She tells him as she begins to rappel down the side of the building.

"Geez, now that was a blast! What the hell happened?" The man asks.

"Never mind, Yankee, I'm going in," Lara rappels down to a circular vent. She pushes off with her legs so that she swings away from the building, and she draws her pistol with one hand. She fires two shots, which blows the vent off the building. Lara swings right into the circular ventilation shaft and slides down into building.
