The Colosseum

Ah, The Colosseum, or at least the tunnels beneath it. There's a number of traps and twists, but if you're in need of a few tips, then read on.
On Deadly Ground
One of the first things you realize is that the ground you're walking on isn't as stable as the beautiful marble tiles may lead you to believe. Nothing tricky here. Just don't stand there do something!
Go Away!
Past the breakaway floors in the hallway, you're faced with a closed door and no apparent way to open it. Return to the hallway and look down to find a crawlspace to the right. No jump will land you inside that little space. However, you can get to it. Consider your repertoire of moves, and decide how you will get from here to there. The answer is at hand.
Throw Her to the Lions
Now that you've got that door open, you'll be faced with a series of cells and lions. Each door will release another lion until you reach a room with a ladder. Climb up and you'll find the first of two artifacts. Then you will need to run up a series of ramps, releasing gladiators along the way. You needn't deal with all the gladiators if you're not interested in what's behind the door at the uppermost ledge, but I guarantee that you should be interested.
Ring and Run
When you find the platform with the hole in it and the platform with the rope, then you may need to put it all together. The rope raises a pedestal up out of the little hole. It takes three pulls to fully raise the platform, any less and you won't be able to pick up the item on the pedestal. The final trick is that the pedestal will only stay in the raised position for a little while before it falls back into the hole. So there you have it. You know what you need to do. There's no trick. Just don't make any mistakes.
Hot Hot Hot
Once you have the two pieces, and attempt to exit the large cavern, you will be dumped into a lower cavern and have a little conversation with Pierre. After that, you will find the receptacle for the two items. As soon as you do, the floor will break away. Although you can't see what's happening, you'll have to simply trust that safety is on the other side of the room, so move quickly.
Circular Reasoning
In order to exit the room after the floor has fallen out, you have to take a running jump to the alcove below the receptacle. Then it's just a little shimmying and you're out, but then things get interesting.
Come and Get It
You will have to defeat a gladiator and his pet lion to obtain the key to let you into the next chamber. Then you'll have to defeat another enemy to open the door that leads down to the prize.
